Area of expertise
David is Emeritus Professor in the Centre for Public Health and Wellbeing. His research interests include the history of public health, public involvement in public health and public health leadership and workforce development.
David is on the board of the UK Public Health Register and a member of the Faculty of Public Health workforce committee. He is also a trustee of the Centre for Health and the Public Interest.
Prior to joining UWE Bristol, David was one of the first English directors of public health from a background other than medicine.
