About me
My research interests include macroeconomics, finance, development and distribution.
I publish in journals including New Political Economy, Environment and Planning A, The Cambridge Journal of Economics, Metroeconomica, Review of Keynesian Economics and others.
I have worked with international organisations including the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
I am Chair of the Post Keynesian Economics Society, a Fellow of the Forum for Macroeconomics and Macroeconomic Policy of the Hans-Böckler Foundation and a member of the Progressive Economy Forum Council. I was a founder of Reteaching Economics.
I appear regularly on broadcast media and write for various platforms. I blog intermittently at criticalfinance.org and post on Bluesky at jomichell.bsky.social.
