Dr Tim Chatterton

About me

Tim has a background in both social and physical sciences.  He has spent over a decade specialising in working at the interface between policy and academia, with a particular focus on air pollution, climate change and energy issues, but also involving broader issues of public health and land-use and transport planning.

 He has worked extensively with a range of UK government Departments, including DECC, Defra and DfT, and with the UK Devolved Administrations.  He is also involved in providing support services for the European Commission, and has helped write the National Air Quality Framework for South Africa. 

 He also works at a local level (both in the UK and abroad), working closely with a large number of local authorities, and being involved in air quality capacity building with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.​
