About me

I am a senior lecturer in Accounting and Finance with a significant and sustained track record in higher education.

I hold a degree in Economics from the University of Trento, a Master's degree in Finance and Risk Management from the University of Milan Bicocca, a Master's in Finance and a PhD in Finance from the University of the West of England. I have been Fellow in HEA since 2015 and I have been an educator in HEIs for 14 years.

Prior to joining higher education in the UK, I worked with various banks and investment funds in risk management divisions and asset pricing.

I am the programme leader of the MSc Finance and Investment. I was previously the programme leader of the MSc Finance and obtained for the programme the prestigious academic partnerships with GARP (Global Association of Risk Professionals), with the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Institute and led the programme to 100% in the 2019 PTES.

I have designed the MSc Finance and Investment programme (former MSc Finance).

I acted as Programme AHoD from November 2022 to July 2023 and have extensive teaching experience and programme/module design expertise. Besides being programme leader for the MSc Finance and Investment, I have been module leader for many PG modules such as Fundamentals of Financial Management, Fundamentals of Finance, Risk Management, Financial Investments in Practice, Quantitative Research Methods, Fund Management, Financial Instruments, Finance and Economics Principles in different academic years, and I have taught in numerous UG modules.

Students routinely describe me as insipirational and a great motivator.

Since August 2023 I have taken the role of Interim Associate Director (Academic Enhancement) in the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance.

I am currently serving as link tutor for BA Banking and Finance, and MSc Finance and Investment, respectively at NEU (National Economics University) and BAV (Banking Academy Vietnam) in Vietnam.

I am also an active researcher in Finance. I have initiated and led the HEIF project on ESG Investing, Finance and the Transition to Net Zero Symposium in collaboration with SERG and GARG. My work on the CAPM has been published in 3* ABS academic journals. I have expertise in data collection and data cleansing. I supervise PhD students in Finance.
