About me

Adrienne leads partnership initiatives and civic engagement, contributing to interdisciplinary professional practice, enterprise and industry-focussed curriculum design and delivery across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the UWE Bristol School of Arts, part of the College of Arts, Technology & Environment (CATE).

She encourages partner engagement in programmes, including 'live' student projects, mentoring schemes and knowledge exchange; collaborates with the creative sector to support curricular content development and oversees work-based learning; promotes student engagement in external events, competitions, festivals, and exhibitions. She's worked closely with programmes on ScreenSkills accreditation and Production Guild UK partnership development. She's a Senior Fellow HEA.

Adrienne led the design and development of the UWE Showcase site, a dynamic platform promoting UWE talent and our community to employers, professional audiences, creative and cultural networks – locally, nationally and internationally.

She is co-investigator on the MyWorld Creative Hub, Talent & Skills Development work package (UKRI); Bristol & Bath by Design, measuring and mapping the impact of design on the Bristol/Bath city region funded by the AHRC and Design Council; University of Local Knowledge project, funded by the EPSRC.

An active member of the BBC Bristol Partnership's Innovation Group, West of England Design Forum, Bristol Creative Industries and the West of England Combined Authority, working on talent development, innovation and retention in local/regional capacity. She's part of the Rising Arts BE-IT Leadership programme's steering group.

Prior to joining UWE, Adrienne directed publications at Maryland Institute College of Art and was an editor/producer at epicurious.com (Condé Nast) and Martha Stewart Living (Time Inc.), with industry content and communication design expertise: consumer editorial (print, web, and television), marketing and communications.
