About me

I practised as a solicitor in Bristol from 1995-2005 undertaking mainly personal injury litigation on behalf of insurance companies.

In 2005 I moved to the Midlands and became a Senior Lecturer at Nottingham Trent University, teaching civil litigation on the BVC (now (BPTC).

I moved back to Bristol in 2011 and joined UWE as a Senior Lecturer.  I teach on the BTC, STC and LPC.

Area of expertise

My practice experience is in civil litigation, mainly personal injury defence work. 
I am currently teaching Civil Advocacy, Civil Litigation & Evidence, Opinion Writing & Legal Research (subject leader) and Drafting on the BTC. 
I am also subject leader for the Clinical Negligence Option on the BTC and the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Elective on the LPC.
I teach Litigation Drafting on the PSC.
I am the Programme Leader for the SQE preparatory courses; PG Dip Solicitors Training Course and LLM Solicitors Training Course
