About me

I am a conservation ecologist interested in the community-led conservation and restoration of biodiversity. Previously I have worked for Cool Earth, a community-led NGO working to conserve rainforests, and researched the ecological impacts of hunting on carnivore populations in South Africa.

My current research is exploring how environmental DNA techniques, specifically iDNA, can be used to model the occupancy of lemurs in a fragmented forest landscape in Eastern Madagascar. I am interested in developing genetic monitoring techniques as robust tools for wildlife monitoring.
