About me

Dr Emmanuel Esezobor is a senior lecturer in Real Estate and Property Management. Emmanuel have expertise in Commercial Real Estate, Valuation, Construction Management and Sustainability. Before joining UWE, he has worked as Real Estate lecturer at London South Bank University and at Birmingham City University. Prior to pursuing his Master's degree and PhD in Construction Management at Birmingham City University. He has worked in construction and real estate industry for over 18 years.

Emmanuel has worked on a number of projects including the EU-funded EDRF retrofit project of over 250 houses in West Midlands. He was the lead expert in the design of carbon matrix to monitor occupiers's behaviour, and measure percentage reduction of energy consumption and carbon emission of the project demonstrator's properties. His recent research focused on sustainability in construction practices in Sub-Saharan Africa. It specifically focus on strategies to embed sustainability in the practices of multinational construction organization operating in Nigeria.

Knowledge exchange is an important component of his work. In June 2015, he was the lead academic in the international Knowledge Transfer Partnership programme, funded by Climate-KIC. The project examined the key systemic challenges to energy management in commercial properties in Valencia, and developed a suitable option to reduce projected energy consumption.
