About me

I studied architecture in Newcastle, working there and in Berlin before returning to London to practise architecture for a dozen-or-so years.  During this time I was fortunate to contribute to a wide-range of buildings including the eccentric - a pivoting cable-tensioned footbridge; the everyday - office and regeneration buildings; the experimental - large-scale housing using 'modern methods of construction'; and the particular - bespoke new homes for lawyers and gorillas (not simultaneously).

I moved to UWE, Bristol in 2007 and teach drawing, design, construction and professional studies.  My principal role is as an academic Cluster Lead supporting the ARB/RIBA accredited programmes at at UWE.

Area of expertise

Volumetric prefabrication and Modern Methods of Construction.
