Kevin Burnside is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor who, after a dozen years in practice working in the UK and Middle East, joined UWE (previously Bristol Polytechnic) in 1990. In addition to teaching construction economics, construction law and professional practice, he has been a programme leader, Undergraduate Programme Director, Chair of Faculty Board and Head of Department of Construction and Civil Engineering (2002-2010).
