About me

I have a practicing interior designer with 19 years experience in the interior design industry.

I have also been teaching in higher education for 19 years starting as an associate lecturer in Liverpool John Moores University and have since taught at Chelsea College of Art and Design and now UWE.
I am currently the department rep for KESE and have a passion for the development of sustainable approaches to design practice.
In 2021 I was awarded the New Fellows fund for research on a project investigating meaningful design for the sustainable approach to the future of urban high streets in collaboration with Frankie Loam.
In 2015 I was awarded the REACT fund to develop spatial outcomes for Colourstory in collaboration with Arthur Buxton and Paul Laidler.
In 2013 my conceptual piece 'In Search of Hidden Value in wax' was exhibited at the Glasstrees exhibition with Berengo Studio at the Venice Biennale having developed my theories as part of my writings in 2010 In Search of Hidden Value with Chelsea College of Art and Design.

Area of expertise

I have been a practicing interior designer for 19 years designing for commercial offices, eduction, hotel and leisure, domestic and pharmaceutical interiors.

I have run my own company specialising in commercial and domestic interiors as well as designing and manufacturing a range of domestic furniture.
In addition, I enjoy exploring theoretical understanding of design creating conceptual spatial outputs.
