About me
I am a NMC registered nurse (adult) and independent prescriber. Most recently I have been working as a Doctoral Research Fellow at Kings College London, my research has focused on screening for steroid induced diabetes in cancer patients exposed to dexamethasone. My research was based at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) with Guy's Cancer Centre and the Diabetes Department, where I held an honorary contract with GSTT. I have worked as a diabetes specialist nurse in and around Bristol for in excess of 12 years, with previous experience in primary care, community, renal and cardiac medicine. My experience of teaching and facilitation has been through my time at Kings College London and during my career as a diabetes specialist nurse. I am currently completing a PhD.
