About me

Current roles include:

  • Senior Lecturer: Responsible for "Placement Learning" module for all placement students from the College of Business and Law + modules within the Team Entrepreneurship programme.
  • Enterprise Champion: Responsible for helping the College achieve its goal of developing a distinctive reputation for enterprise.
  • SRR Project Team: Responsible for the "Expertise" and "Sprints" workstreams within the Subject Readiness Review project.

Previous UWE roles include:

  • Programme Leader: Team Entrepreneurship Programme
  • Enterprise Consultant: UWE-wide support for the development of enterprise in the curriculum.
  • Head of Careers and Enterprise: Consultancy and Curriculum, leading our work with Faculties and supporting UWE's strategic goals for employability and enterprise.

Prior to joining UWE in 2015 I had 25 years' experience as an entrepreneur, manager, consultant and teacher in the private, public, non-profit and higher education sectors. 

Experience of: 

  • creating, managing and developing organisations
  • managing and delivering consultancy and IT projects for corporate clients
  • developing, leading and teaching business and enterprise programmes
  • mentoring and supporting organisations seeking growth and agility.

I hold a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) – passed with distinction.

My goal is to use my business, teaching, consulting, coaching and communication skills to help those that I work with develop themselves and their organisations such that they deliver value to all stakeholders - customers, colleagues and owners.

I believe that engagement in the complexities of organisational life provides rich opportunities for learning and self-development.
