About me

Ben is a Senior Lecturer working in the Centre for Transport & Society with a background in transport planning practice. His recent research has centred on understanding: (i) travel behaviours; (ii) processes of travel behaviour change over the life course; and (iii) the effects of different travel behaviours on personal wellbeing. Ben's research is motivated by an interest in how transport systems and their use can support the creation of urban environments that are: (i) healthy; (ii) low carbon / low emissions; (iii) equitable; and (iv) culturally / economically vibrant.  He teaches all aspects of transport planning and engineering on undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
