About me

I am a Doctoral Researcher at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), working on a new approach to value the non-market benefits of Green Infrastructure specifically Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS). My research criticises the existing valuation tools such as B£ST and InVEST, and how we can build framework to better reflect the social, ecological, and ethical dimensions of urban water and environmental benefits. The framework I am developing is inclusive decision-support framework, it combines economic valuation, participatory methods, and capabilities-based evaluation to to support more evidence-based and inclusive decisions in SuDS planning.

Area of expertise

Valuation of non-transactional benefits of Green Infrastructure and Sustainable Drainage Systems; Blue-Green approaches to flood risk management; urban water management and resilience; and the integration of social, ecological, and economic values in environmental decision-making.
