From an academic perspective I obtained a postgraduate teaching certification at Southampton Solent University in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and achieved Senior Fellow status with the Higher Education Authority.

At Southampton Solent University I was the course leader for the CIMSPA endorsed BSc Sport Coaching degree for 8 years taking the course through three rounds of revalidations. I also proposed, designed, validated and led the MSc Strength and Conditioning attaining course accreditation with the IUSCA in its first year. I also proposed, designed and validated BSc (Hons) Strength and Conditioning degree.

I have taught various health, fitness and nutrition-related modules for foundation year, undergraduate (level 4, 5 & 6) and postgraduate (level 7). I led a placement year module across multiple courses for nearly a decade and supervised student research projects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
