About me

I am a Senior Lecturer in Marketing within Bristol Business School at UWE having previously worked at Lincoln International Business School (Part of Lincoln University) as a lecturer in Marketing.

I am currently Program Leader for MSc Marketing Communications and Module Leader for Business Decision Making for Marketing and Events, Digital Marketing Strategy, Research Methods for Marketing and E-Commerce. I also teach on the Practical Digital Skills, Research Methods for Marketing and Events and Introductory Research Project Modules.

Prior to joining academia, I worked extensively in both sales and marketing within the financial advice industry, including several years as a marketing communications manager. I also have experience working as a buyer for the NHS.

My research interests are related to digital marketing ethics, financial services marketing, trust and consumer protection regulation. My PhD (Cardiff University) investigated the formation of environmental trust between consumers and their financial advisers.

I am an active member of the British Academy of Management Marketing and Retail Special Interest Group for which I currently hold the position of Treasurer and I currently hold the Track Chair for the Marketing and Retail Developmental Papers Track.

To support my teaching I am also an active member of the BAM Management Knowledge and Education SIG and the Research Methodology SIG.

I am also interested in research examining the differing perceptions of marketing held by academics and practitioners in an effort to bridge those differences thereby improving the employability of graduates.

In addition to holding a PhD I also hold an MSc in Marketing Communicatons (UWE) and an MSc in Social Science Research Methodology (Cardiff)
