About me

As a lecturer at UWE, I teach modules in Engineering that contribute to achieving outstanding learning outcomes for our students. I engage in research and scholarly activity to enhance and inform the department's teaching design, delivery and curriculum development.
My teaching focus currently include Engineering design, CAD (SolidWorks), Dynamics and Engine Simulation (Ricardo WAVE). I am also a member of the Engineering Modelling and Simulation Research Group.

If you are interested in what I do, be sure to head to my blog; or tweet me with any questions.

Background:

I obtained both my BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering and MEng degree in Nuclear Engineering from the North West University in South Africa in 2012 and 2015 respectively. My MEng investigated the coupling of RELAP5 and Flownex software packages to simulate and validate a nuclear power plant's steam generator. From 2013 to 2015 I worked as a Systems Engineer at Eskom's Duvha Power Station. Whilst at Duvha I worked on a wide range of design and maintenance improvement projects to increase the availability of the operating plant. In 2016 I joined UWE as a Graduate Tutor in Automotive Engineering. My research covers a number of overlapping subject matters; namely, Diesel Engine Combustion Modelling, use of Biofuel to reduce engine emissions and Low Temperature Combustion in Diesel Engines.
