About me

I teach pharmacology to qualified healthcare professionals on the Non Medical Prescribing Programme and to a variety of allied health professional students. Before joining UWE in 2018, I was working as a Pharmacist Practitioner in Acute & Emergency Care and Frailty at Worcestershire Royal Hospital focusing on improving the care of and safe use of medicines in older patients with unplanned hospital admissions including deprescribing.

Prior to this role, I have worked in a variety of different hospitals and clinical specialities starting off in Paediatrics at Great Ormond Street Hospital which inspired me to undertake my PhD at University College London. This research aimed to improve the use of medicines in children by trying to develop a new formulation using multi-particulates to deliver functionalised capacity in a liquid, involving both lab based research and sensory studies.

In addition to my current UWE role, I continue to work clinically as a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber for a GP Out of Hours Organisation.

Area of expertise
