Dr Alvin Hadiono

With a simple, personal life goal of enabling and leveraging others to realise their full potential through the workplace and higher education, Dr. Alvin Hadiono is a man on a mission.

Dr. Alvin Hadiono has worked with business owners and senior leaders (CXOs). Specialising in talent management, employer branding, employee attraction and acquisition, leadership development, succession planning, performance and career management, and employee engagement, he has more than 15 years of HR professional and leadership experience in multiple industries, from retail to banking industries, all in global corporations and Indonesian conglomerates. Being part of Manulife and Citibank's global faculty team, he has facilitated a broad range of people leadership skills training for the employees and leaders at levels ranging from Staff to Vice President, both in Indonesia and throughout Southeast Asia. His last professional position was Head of HR for one of Indonesia's largest energy companies. Currently, he is the CEO and Principal Consultant of AHa!gility, a boutique consulting and training company offering human resources advisory, skill building and assessment services.

Within academia, Dr. Alvin Hadiono's research specializes in Learning Agility and innovative organisational culture. Prior to UWE Bristol, he lectured and tutored hundreds of bachelor and master students from multiple nationalities at the University of Glasgow, University of Exeter and Glasgow International College in the United Kingdom, and several leading public and private universities in Indonesia. Employing active and adult learning methodologies, he has designed and facilitated students’ learning experiences in more than 27 different modules, from Fundamentals of HRM to International Entrepreneurship and Innovation. In the Working in Practice module at the University of Exeter, he lectured and tutored Senior People Professionals from the UK’s most prominent organisations, whose roles range from HR Specialist to Global People Shared Service Head. 

Dr. Alvin Hadiono graduated with cum laude predicate for his Bachelor of Psychology, summa cum laude for his MBA and a PhD in HRM and OB at the University of Glasgow. He is a certified assessor and trainer of the world's leading psychological instruments: DiSC, Facet5, MBTI, SII, FIRO-B and Talent Q. At the University of Glasgow, he won the Adam Smith Business School Excellence Awards in the Research and Teaching categories for three consecutive years. In overall, he has received over 30 professional and academic awards in the last 20 years.

Dr. Alvin Hadiono is a Certified Member of the Association for Learning Technology (CMALT, UK), a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA, UK), a SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM, US) and Indonesia's first Agile HR Certified Practitioner (Agile HR Community, Finland).
