About me
Amir Mahmoudi has joined the School of Engineering as a Senior Lecturer. He is part of the Advanced Materials and Structures team.
Upon completion of his BSc (Hons) and MSc, Amir joined the University of Bristol for his PhD and completed it in 2005. He was then offered a Postdoc position at UoB which was followed by a lectureship position. He has also been an Associate Professor at Bu-Ali Sina University.
Amir's areas of expertise are mostly "Structural Integrity", "Failure Analysis", "Life Extension" and "Residual Stresses". All projects have been performed experimentally and numerically using finite element analysis. He has also led many industrial projects and consultancies as well as supervision of Master students and PhD candidates.
