About me

Midwifery lecturer appointed January 2013, previously working as clinical midwife in NHS sector. Specific interests in capacity issues in maternity, litigation and quality monitoring, undergraduate maternity skills training and high risk pregnancies.

15 years midwifery experience at a major tertiary referral hospital (St Michael's hospital, Bristol), 6 years as delivery suite coordinator.

Research midwife for NIHR Western Comprehensive local research network (Reproductive medicine & Childbirth speciality group headed by Professor Draycott). Previous member of RiSQ research group at Southmead Hospital, with close association to members of School of Social & Community Medicine and School of Clinical Sciences, University of Bristol.

Qualitative research experience with Teamwork in emergencies study (Dr Dimitrios Siassakos) & regional HIEC funded Data for Safety & Health study (Dr Rebecca Simms & Dr Antonia Beringer)
