About me

Designer of serious games and immersive virtual and physical spaces. Creative technologies practitioner, recruited from the games industry to develop, lead and run Games Technology BSc (Hons), at UWE. Six years in the post of Cluster Leader for Creative Technologies, and six years in the role of Associate Professor for Knowledge Exchange in technology and innovation, resulting in the design and build of the Foundry technology affinity space on Frenchay campus. 

Experienced in developing BSc and MSc's in Games Technology and Commercial Games development, also establishing the PlayWest Serious games studio and the enterprise studio network for the Faculty of Environment and Technology.

Recent work includes doctoral research into disruptive informal learning spaces, game jams in education, cybersecurity gamification approaches, the H2020 ClairCity serious game for citizen policy acceptance and mixed reality approaches to aerospace recruitment.

Previous projects include telemetry prototyping for Bloodhound SSC and serious games and AR/VR developments for a range of industry stakeholders. Currently responsible for Commercial Games Development modules on Games Technology BSc and MSc awards. Developing Foundry pathways for industrial engagement, widening participation in coding and digital skills and increasing the equality diversity and inclusivity in creative technologies.
