About me
I completed a BSc (Hons) in Psychology at the University of Bristol and a PhD in Health Science at the Bristol Speech and Language Therapy Research Unit and UWE. My subsequent research focused on behaviour change interventions to reduce tobacco, alcohol and unhealthy food consumption, using qualitative and quantitative methods, and systematic reviewing. This research has included understanding the impact of changing the environment (e.g., restaurants, bars and supermarkets) to facilitate healthier consumption, as well as integrating smoking cessation within existing healthcare provision (e.g., mental health treatment for anxiety and depression).
I have a broad interest in health research and improving patient care, population health, and the wider healthcare environment. In 2025, I joined the same day and urgent care (SURGE) Workforce Research Partnership at UWE, which aims to explore innovative, whole systems approaches to tackle workforce challenges in the SURGE sector and create a more effective and thriving workforce.
