About me

Dr Asif Mohammed is a Lecturer in Structural Engineering in the School of Engineering at the University of the West England, Bristol. Before joining the University of the West England 2020, he worked in the UK as an Engineer at WSP and Balfour Beatty, and research fellow in civil and structural engineering. Asif obtained his PhD in Structural Engineering from Brunel University London (UK), and MEng (Hons) in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Bradford (UK).

He is engaged in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and research in steel and composite structures. His main research interests are in the area of structural testing, numerical modelling, and efficient design guidance for steel and composite structures. Asif has co-supervised a number of undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and has peer-reviewed submissions for technical journals and industry publications.
