Area of expertise
Dr. Becky Gooby is a researcher of colour in textiles, digital technology, and historical design, and an academic member of the Centre for Print Research, UWE Bristol. Her AHRC-funded doctorate explored methodologies to predict and resolve colour challenges in digital textile printing, blending historical insight with practical innovation. Working in the field since 2008, she combines expertise in textile chemistry, colour management, and materials science with creative design applications. She currently leads, The Colourette, a research spin out, where she develops methodological approaches for sustainable colouration and reproducible digital printing and manufacture.
