About me

I focus on supporting research and knowledge exchange activities, with particular expertise and focus on health and wellbeing research. I work closely with academic staff and research centres including CAR, CHCR, CPHWB, HTH, and ICA to develop successful funding applications and deliver impactful research projects.

My role involves advising and supporting University staff in establishing, developing and delivering research and knowledge exchange grant applications to key health sector funders including NIHR, NHS Trusts, and the Medical Research Council.

Prior to joining UWE, I spent over six years at supporting funder organisations including the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and Cancer Research UK (CRUK). At NERC, I served as Senior Futures Programme Manager and Programme Manager for Healthy Environment initiatives, where I managed strategic research programmes addressing the intersection of environmental and human health. During my time at CRUK, I managed portfolios of research centres, developed international funding calls, and coordinated strategic reviews of cancer research funding areas and mechanisms.

My background includes programme and project management across diverse research environments, with particular strengths in stakeholder management, business planning, and facilitating cross-directorate collaboration. I have experience in developing funding strategies, managing complex academic partnerships, and delivering strategic reviews that shape research priorities.
