About me

I am the Project lead for an EU H2020 €7 million Securities Call, leading a consortium of 10 pan-European organisations including West Midland Police (National Data Analytics Solution), Thames Valley Police, University of Perugia, Cyprus University of Technology, Financial Crime Investigations Service under the Ministry of the Interior Lithuania and specialist technology industry partners. The Advisory Board includes HMGCC, GCHQ, The Forensic Capability Network, IBM Italia, the FBI and a range of cyber-security experts. Project MODEiT, Money Laundering Detection using Enhanced Information Technology will result in some of the most advanced digital technology developed for use by EU LEAs. Also, I'm an Associate Lecturer delivering seminars on Virtual Business and virtual tutorials on Research Methodology.

Since joining UWE Bristol, I have secured Innovate Smart Grant funding and ERDF as well as being seconded to the West of England Combined Authority.

Area of expertise

Prior to joining UWE Bristol, I have held a number of senior positions to the level of Global Director for FTSE 100 organisations leading complex future-sighted innovation programmes and have been an advisor to the UK Government and the House of Lords. In 2018 I was invited to participate in the United Nations Foreign Direct Investment Conference, Geneva and as result of my work with the DTI, Mexican Embassy and Santander Group invited to speak at Deloitte London's 2018 Fintech Conference.

Major accomplishments include working on the de-merger of Cable & Wireless Plc. As the Global Director Corporate Social Responsibility I provided statistical evidence to investors, Government bodies, analysts and customers creating two distinct corporate responsibility operations achieving 'Best Reporting' company in the Carbon Disclosure Project 5. I implemented and coordinated processes for incoming legislation including CRC (Tier 2 energy user) SMART tech, USA International fraud and AML as well as Introducing a bi-monthly audit processes correlating with indexation requirements for the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, FTSE4Good and European listings (SDGs/ESG). The result was a share price increase of 2.4% and C&W Plc acquired ethical fund status.

In preparation for the listing of B&B Group on the London Stock Exchange. I established the first national B2B & B2C E-Commerce mortgage and credit-rating service on an IBM AS400 and BT infrastructure with tiered integration of 'white label' services for external customers' internet based platforms. I managed project dependencies such as legal contracts, Service Level Agreements (SLA's), banking system security, budgets as well as a Technology Team and Business Team. B&B was rated 'AA' by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) prior to its flotation. I reduced operational overheads increasing business capacity by 280%.  Turnaround period of 2-3 weeks reduced to 30 minutes, turnover £28.2 million per month.

Since graduating, I've worked with McKinsey, KPMG Hong Kong, SEB Merchant Bank, The British Council, The Indonesian Embassy and BAT Head Office. I've been a member of Prince Charles Climate Change Business Leaders and recognized by CISCO as one of the UK's top 100 most influential women.
