About me
Chetana Rukshani Karunatilaka is a Lecturer in Law at the University of the West of England. Prior to joining the UWE, she previously taught at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka from 2015-2022. She teaches undergraduate module of law of torts and LLM modules in international environmental law and natural resources law.
Chetana is also Law Postgraduate Researcher conducting her doctoral studies at the University of the West of England. The aim of her research study is to critically evaluate the implementation and enforcement of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species in Wild Fauna and Flora 1973 with a special focus on Sri Lanka. Her research interests include international environmental law, natural resources law, environmental law in developing countries, trade and environment and global business law.
