About me
I am committed to progressing easier, safer and cheaper access to space; developing more efficient space propulsion engines; and producing more physically & chemically accurate simulation codes.
My background is in fluid dynamics and numerical code building applied to space, aerodynamics, astrophysics and geophysics. I have worked for UWE, ETH-Zurich, Imperial, Old Dominion and the Open University, with over a decade at BAE Systems' Research Centre.
I have lecturing/teaching experience over many decades and aim to provide state of the art technical knowledge, practical industrially valuable skills, problem-solving techniques and to support students in their career aspirations.
Area of expertise
Technical skills: Computational Fluid Dynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Aerodynamics, electrostatics/electromagnetics, optics, numerical algorithms for physics and meshing, numerical code building.
Application areas: high speed flows, electric propulsion, ISAM, space robotics, aircraft design, flight trajectory models, wind potential, geophysical flows.
