About me

As part of the Redistributed Manufacturing in Healthcare Network (RiHN) We explore ways in which decentralised, local manufacturing of advanced technologies can improve patient outcomes in deployed healthcare settings.

The RiHN aims to fund feasibility studies to advance applications of RDM in five key areas; covering additive manufacturing, cell and tissue therapies, clinicals fluids, and pharmaceuticals.

My background in point of care medical device development, implementation of novel and innovative new technologies and business development provides specialist insight to support RiHN. My particular focus is to support the manufacturing engineering parts of the project and systematically establish medical innovation route maps for new RDM (Redistributed Manufacturing) technologies and systems for use on the frontline of healtcare. I also work closely with colleagues at UWE to indentify key factors affecting innovation adoption and to provide inputs for analysing the RDM business case.

Area of expertise

Point-of-Care Diagnostics, Microfluidics, Cellular Scaffolds, Biopolymers, Polyurethanes, Graphene, Carbon Fibre Composites, Business Development, Innovation Management, Business Case Analysis.
