About me

I am currently undertaking field work for my PhD research, which explores the experiences of mothers who use local FOOD Clubs, a food charity project run by FareShare and Family Action, in partnership with Bristol Children's Centres. My research explores the intersection of gender, motherhood and food insecurity, and how food insecurity is navigated by mothers. It is fully funded by Canterbury Christ Church University. I am also interested in social class, socioeconomic inequality and feminism. My work to date has centred on feminist activism, gender, and transnational migration, in particular, narratives of intersectional sisterhood in female relationships across borders. I contribute to teaching across the BA Sociology programme.
