About me

I am a Research Fellow in Wearable Robotics at the Bristol Robotics Laboratory (UWE Bristol), with a PhD in Control Systems Engineering and a background in Electronic Engineering. My research focuses on human–robot interaction, wearable robotics, advanced control strategies, biomechanical modelling, and AI-driven sensor-based estimation, with particular emphasis on developing intelligent, adaptive, and personalised robotic systems for mobility assistance and rehabilitation.

My work combines robotics, control engineering, biomechanics, and machine learning to develop and experimentally validate lower- and upper-limb wearable devices, including robotic exoskeletons. I am particularly interested in human-centred control, real-time gait analysis, locomotion assistance, and the integration of multimodal sensing to enhance the adaptability, safety, and effectiveness of assistive technologies.

As part of the VIVO Hub project, I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design, prototype, and clinically evaluate next-generation wearable robotic technologies aimed at improving mobility, functional recovery, and quality of life.

Area of expertise

Wearable Robotics, Robotic Exoskeletons, Control Systems Engineering, Human–Robot Interaction, Rehabilitation Robotics, Biomechanics, Gait Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Sensor Fusion, Real-Time Systems, and Experimental Validation.
