Collaborations:

SPARK (Specialists in Prosthetic Advancements and Rehabilitation Kinetics), consists of engineers, designers, researchers, physiotherapists, and sport rehabilitation specialists. This diverse and multidisciplinary team, for which UWE leads the collaboration with two startup companies, allows us to take a holistic approach, blending engineering and technology with human physiology and biomechanics.

About me

Ellen is a Graduate Sports Rehabilitator with over 20 years of experience in diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries, correctional and post-operative rehabilitation as well as pitch-side trauma. Her career has been extremely diverse and rewarding and has been fortunate enough to have worked around the world in professional sport being part of or leading a Sports Medicine team as Head Therapist. She has worked with the NFL, Great Britain and England Basketball, International Rugby 7s, Nat Div Rugby and County rugby, Tri-services, GB Individual Athletes, and GB Lions to name a few. Ellen joined UWE in April 2019 gaining her Fellowship to HE Academy 2021 and runs her own practice which includes contract work for sports teams.
