About me

I am Lecturer in Digital Business at the Bristol Business School. Before taking this role, I was a Research Fellow at the Centre for the Decentralised Digital Economy, at the Surrey Business School. There I worked on a ESPRC funded project researching manufacturing and service delivery pathways for personalised healthcare, specifically the development of an innovative micro-factory that will provide on-the-body manufacturing of therapeutics. Before that I was a Research Fellow (UWE) on Bristol and Bath by Design, an AHRC and Design Council funded project mapping the design industry in the region.

I completed my PhD in Economic Geography in 2021, supervised by Professor Don Webber, Professor Glenn Parry, and Professor Carinna Parraman. My PhD explored the role of early life experiences on migration and employment outcomes of creative workers. I have an MA in History of Design (RCA/V&A), and a degree in Ceramics.

I am a Director of Freestyle Bristol CIC, which provides youth sessions, mentoring, and a digital platform for young people.

Before working in academia, I was a qualitative researcher collecting oral histories for the British Library and other archives.
