Area of expertise
I practised as a Solicitor Advocate before coming to the University; my specialism in practice was Criminal Law. I have extensive experience as a Senior Crown Prosecutor for the CPS and as Criminal Defence Solicitor in both the Magistrates and Crown Court. I have therefore both defended and prosecuted in Criminal cases for over 19 years.
At UWE, I teach criminal modules both on the Barrister's Training Course and the Solicitor's Traning Course, postgradue professional law courses. I am the Programme Lead for the Barrister's Traning Course. I am the Module Lead on the Solicitor's Training Course for Criminal Procedure, Criminal Litigation and the LLM Option Advanced Criminal Litigation.
