About me
Dr Emmanuel Esezobor is a Senior Lecturer in Real Estate and Property Management with extensive professional and academic experience in sustainable construction and property management. Prior to undertaking his Master’s degree in Project Management and completing his PhD, he accumulated over 18 years of industry experience within the construction and real estate sector.
Dr Esezobor has served as the lead expert in the development of carbon assessment matrices designed to monitor and measure reductions in carbon emissions and energy consumption across a range of residential and commercial properties in the West Midlands and Valencia. His recent research focuses on sustainability in construction practices in Sub-Saharan Africa, with particular emphasis on strategies for embedding sustainability within the operations of multinational construction organisations operating in Nigeria.
Knowledge exchange forms a central component of his academic work. In June 2015, he was the lead academic on an international Knowledge Transfer Partnership programme funded by Climate-KIC. This project examined key systemic challenges to energy management in commercial properties in Valencia and developed viable strategies to reduce projected energy consumption.
