About me

I hold a PhD in Mathematics from UNSW Canberra, where I was supervised by Professor Timothy Trudgian. After completing my PhD, I was a Research Fellow at the University of Bristol for three years. Prior to joining UWE Bristol, I also held Associate Lectureships at the University of Chichester and UWE Bristol, where I taught on modules in Computer Science, Cyber Security, and Mathematics.

Broadly speaking, my research establishes computational tools to study the distribution of primes (e.g., 2,3,5), and applies these tools to make progress toward classical open problems (such as Legendre's conjecture or the Golbach conjecture) and their analogues. This requires one to balance analytic arguments, computational methods, and optimisation. In particular, the strongest method in theory is not always the strongest method in practise. So, one needs to balance competing analytic techniques in a way that is optimal for the problem at hand. A detailed summary of my research is provided on my personal website: this is the link.

In addition to academia, I have professional experience designing, developing, and regulating mathematical models in the iGaming industry. One of my ongoing ambitions is to raise awareness about the mathematics behind gambling games.
