About me
I hold a PhD in Mathematics from UNSW Canberra (at the Australian Defence Force Academy), where I was supervised by Professor Timothy Trudgian. My thesis, titled Explicit Mertens' Theorems for Number Fields, establishes explicit computational tools to study the distribution of "primes" in any number field, which are more widely applicable than related results.
After completing my PhD, I was a Research Fellow at the University of Bristol for three years. Prior to joining UWE Bristol as a Lecturer, I also held Associate Lectureships at the University of Chichester and UWE, where I taught modules in Mathematics and Computer Science.
Broadly speaking, my research combines analytic arguments with explicit computations and optimisation, to convert theoretical advancements in Analytic Number Theory into practical computational tools. In my post-doctoral research, I continued to study the distribution of primitive objects (in any algebraic setting) and their applications, as well as additive problems (e.g., results related to the Goldbach conjecture) and short interval results. A thorough summary of my research is provided on my personal website: this is the link.
In addition to academia, I have experience designing, developing, and regulating mathematical models in the iGaming industry. One of my ongoing ambitions is to educate others about the mathematics behind gambling games.
