About me

I am a chartered occupational psychologist, career researcher, and coach. I obtained my bachelor’s and master's degrees in psychology from Bogazici University and Koc University (Istanbul, Turkey), and my doctorate degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from DePaul University (Chicago, USA). Throughout my career, I have delved into various areas and types of research in organizational psychology, with a primary focus on the careers of high-skilled immigrants and expatriates, as well as the influence of context on the career development of diverse populations. As I advance in both my research and teaching endeavors, I remain committed to bridging the scientist-practitioner gap and have actively participated in numerous applied projects centered around consulting and training. My aspiration to integrate scientific inquiry with practical application has driven me to also work as a career coach, particularly catering to high-skilled immigrants and expatriates.
