About me

I co-module lead on Commercial Law on the LLB; covering the law of agency and sale of goods. I am also teaching on Financial Crime and Regulation, lecturing on banking regulation, the financial crisis and financial crime.

At postgraduate level I teach on the International Banking and Finance LLM, and I contribute to the International Financial Crime module. I have also begun supervising dissertations.

I offer academic support to postgraduate students via one-to-one consultations, detailed further feedback on assessments, skills based workshops and lectures, and through the Academic Success Centre at UWE and our LLM ASC blog and social media profile.

I have been research active while at UWE, I am committed to producing high quality research with impact, which is directly linked to my teaching. I have co-authored a monograph, written several articles, presented conference papers and contributed towards an edited collection for Routledge. I have contributed towards two externally funded projects, which were funded by Cancer Research UK and the Universities South West. I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

I will soon be submitting my PhD thesis, analysing virtual currencies and the money laundering risks they pose; I have focussed on the relevant law of the UK, the US and Australia, specifically on applicability of the law to virtual currencies.
