About me
Ian Friend has a wide ranging Animation and Games Industry experience. Since 1997 he has worked as a 2D/3D Animator, Compositor, Character Designer and Storyboard Artist for commercials and animated series such as Tweenies, Jellykins and Frankenstein’s Cat for companies like Sony, BBC, Channel 4, Dreamworks and Fox Kids. He has been working predominantly in Higher Education for the last 14 years teaching animation theory and production techniques and is currently a senior lecturer in Animation at the University of the West of England. Ian has delivered papers at conferences such as Media Journeys, Manchester Animation Festival and more recently For the Society of Animation Studies at Tulane University in the USA.
