About me

Ilias joined UWE in 2022 as a Lecturer in International Business after completing a PhD at School of Business and Economics Loughborough University (UK), on how managers can deal with services offshoring strategy implementation challenges with a focus on employee motivation (Thesis title: Services offshoring: a microfoundations perspective).

Previously he worked as a Research Officer at the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (EUROFOUND), an EU agency based in the Republic of Ireland, and then as a Lecturer in Business and Management at Leicester Castle Business School, De Montfort University, the UK.

Ilias is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and teaches in a range of International Business and Strategy topic areas. His research interests include: microfoundations of strategy, relational and motivational processes in international teams and offshoring collaborations, qualitative research methods, and more recently LGBT+ inclusivity in MNEs and global value chains.
