About me
I am a senior lecturer in policing and a doctoral research student.
I joined UWE in August 2023, having previously worked at the University of Gloucestershire as a Lecturer for 4 years. I have a teaching background in Criminology and Professional Policing, covering a range of topics, including: terrorism, radicalisation and extremism; cybercrime; response and community policing; criminal law and policing powers; youth justice; crime science; evidence-based policing and research methods.
I have a BSc (Hons) in Criminology, a MA in International Security, and I have completed my PGCAP and APA. I am a doctoral student researching Special Constabulary retention.
I am also a serving Special Constable with ~10 years' experience, primarily on response.
Some of my research interests include: police use of force; stop and search; volunteers in policing; extremism, radicalisation and CT.
