About me
As part of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity team, I am leading a range of projects that will bring about change in the university and the sector. These include:
· A strategic Mental Health Partnership Project, funded by OfS. UWE is leading this national project which will drive improvements in working practice between the NHS and universities.
· UWE Cares, which provides pastoral and financial support and advocacy to support some of our most vulnerable students, including care leavers and estranged students.
· The Equity programme, which supports BAME students to secure good graduate outcomes, and cope with the role that race will play in their future.
· University of Sanctuary, which aims to develop and recognise the support that UWE provides to refugees and asylum seekers in our community, including a new Sanctuary Scholarship.
· UWE Bristol Community Fund, which provides grants for new partnership projects which provide learning opportunities for UWE students as well as positive impact for communities around Bristol.
