About me
I am an established clinical academic, award winning educator, and transformational leader, with a reputation for innovation and cultivating exceptional multi-disciplinary teaching and learning experiences. I have a clinical background as a paramedic educator, operational commander, and emergency care practitioner; and a portfolio spanning all four pillars of advanced practice.
I lead UWE's Trauma and Mass-Casualty Management module, and design/direct a range of collegewide major incident simulation exercises. Working in collaboration with a range of undergraduate/postgraduate programmes and external partner agencies from acorss the country, I regularly deliver interally/externally funded projects and research activities surrounding pedagogic advancements in simulation and practice-led learning.
Area of expertise
Interprofessional simulation, major incident management, multi-agency working, debriefing, paramedic education, ECG interpretation and student mentorship.
