About me

I am a Senior Lecturer and cancer care researcher with a specialist focus on supportive cancer care and workforce development. 

My work has achieved national and international recognition, including Advance HE National Teaching Fellow (2024), HSJ NHS Workforce Initiative of the Year (2024), and the UK Oncology Nursing Society Past Presidents Award (2023), alongside multiple UWE Bristol teaching awards including Changemaker of the Year (2024).

I lead and contribute to a diverse portfolio of externally funded research and knowledge‑exchange projects including major national initiatives such as the Aspirant Cancer Career and Education Development (ACCEND) programme. I have authored over 65 peer‑reviewed papers and conference abstracts and have delivered invited talks across Europe.  Alongside my research, I am Programme Lead for the Postgraduate Certificate in Cancer Care. 

I have supervised over 100 postgraduate projects and supported multiple colleagues to secure competitive doctoral and postdoctoral fellowships.
