About me

I'm a Macmillan Senior Lecturer in the Department of Nursing and Midwifery and a specialist in cancer care.  I am the module leader for numerous cancer BSc/MSc undergraduate and postgraduate modules at UWE Bristol.

I am studying for a PhD exploring the experiences of chronic pain in cancer survivorship under the supervision of Professor Candy McCabe, Professor Di Harcourt, Professor Claire Foster and Dr Ali Llewellyn.  Here is a short video about my PhD:

Prior to my appointment at UWE, I spent over ten years working in London.  During that time I had a variety of roles including clinical practice facilitator (CPF), clinical nurse specialist for bone marrow transplantation, research sister for leukaemia and senior staff nurse in a haematology unit at University College London Hospital (UCLH).  I worked with both adults and teenagers and young adults with cancer.

I am an External Examiner at the University of Chester for BSc and MSc oncology and palliative care modules.
