About me

Having completed my PhD at UWE in 2011, I spent 5 years in the US. I came back to UWE as a Research Associate in 2018, and took up a post as Lecturer in Criminology in 2019. I am now Senior Lecturer in Criminology and Programme Leader. I also lead the third year module Transnational Crime and Comparative Criminology. My research interests lie in small islands, UKOTs and narratives around crime on UK and OT islands. 



Area of expertise

Qualitative methods, particularly ethnography. Small islands. Social identity theory.
