About me

I am a Senior Lecturer in Marketing and behaviour change researcher within the Bristol Business School at UWE Bristol. 

I have been teaching in higher education since 2013 and hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).  I lead modules in Behaviour Change, Social Marketing and Consumer Behaviour.  I joined the university after five years spent working in Ottawa, Canada; first, as a researcher at a public policy think tank and then, as a political aid to cabinet ministers in the Canadian Parliament.

My research interests include youth violence, youth development and behaviour change.  My research examines how knife carrying interventions help youth develop adaptive coping processes for dealing with adverse contextual risks and childhood.  I am particularly interested in developmental supports which can contribute to positive outcomes for vulnerable youth.
