About me

I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Education and Childhood. I programme lead the BA(Hons) Education in Professional Practice (EPP) a one-year work-based learning top up degree for those working in education settings, both formal and informal. I am also programme leader for the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (PGCertLTHE). This programme is aimed at enhancing higher education academics teaching and learning understanding.  I am the link tutor with responsibility for the MA Education for international Partners and for a number of foundation degrees with our local partners.

My main teaching focus is around educational research knowledge and skills which I deliver across a range of courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level including the BA Education in Professional Practice, MA Education and the PGCertLTHE.  My other areas of teaching are Education Leadership and International Education.

Before becoming a senior lecturer, I worked as a research fellow within the Education Department at UWE from 2005 until 2016 on a number of funded research projects covering a variety of disciplines but related to education evaluation. The publications below give an indication of the breadth of research carried out.
