About me
My research examines economic development in emerging and transition economies, with particular emphasis on post‑communist Central Asia. I am especially interested in how institutions and institutional settings influence the behaviour of economic actors and patterns of economic performance. My work adopts a political economy approach to examine how evolving institutional arrangements and reform processes in the financial sector and higher education shape the fairness of access to economic resources and opportunities for different actors.
